A diode laser works by targeting specific color molecules in the skin and selectively heating those cells to damage them without harming any surrounding skin or tissue. When we use the Lightsheer Diode for hair removal, the laser focuses on the melanin in your hair follicles. The heat energy damages the bulb of the follicle, disrupting hair growth and destroying the hair follicle.
This permanent hair removal works on many areas of the body, including the face, neck, chest, back, abdomen, legs, arms, and bikini area.
Your individual results will depend on your particular case, but in general, people with skin and hair in all color ranges can benefit from this treatment. The length of each session will depend on the area you are treating — it could last anywhere from just a few minutes for small areas like the upper lip to almost half an hour for a full back or legs treatment.
